This must (surely) be the advert that was placed by the band in search of a replacement for Mick Abrahams.

Martin Barre remembers that he answered an advert in Melody Maker (in this article: Melody Maker, 1976), and Glenn Cornick also mentioned that they "had to go through the MM small ad trip", and that the advert included the phrase 'Top Blues Band' (in this article: Zig Zag, August 1976), although slightly mis-remembered.

Also of note: on the day this issue appeared on the news stands, Saturday 30 November, Mick played his final gig with the band, that night, at the London School of Economics.
