NEW MUSICAL EXPRESS

4 July 1970

JETHRO'S ROUND THE WORLD TRIP

After a three-week break in Britain during which it was recording tracks for its next album, Jethro Tull returned to America last weekend for the second part of its summer US tour. From the States, the group flies direct to Japan on August 14 to top the bill in a music festival, arranged in conjunction with the organizers of Expo '70.

Tull spends 11 days in Japan, then travels to Australia and New Zealand for a week of major concert appearances. The group is due back in this country at the beginning of September, and will then complete work on the album — its fourth — for release in time for the Christmas market.

Note: these plans for Japan, Australia and New Zealand never came to fruition.
